How I can help

Holbrook Public School parents are interested in, and supportive of, school activities. The community is encouraged to be involved in and contribute to various aspects of school life.

Our Parents & Citizens' Association (P&C) brings the school community together. Parents, teachers and community members can help meet the needs of the school community and contribute to decisions about the school.

The P&C also raises funds that help finance improvements to our school and provide additional resources.

Meetings are held twice a term in the School Library, on the 3rd and 8th week of each term, and on a Wednesday. Meetings  run from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Meetings offer opportunities to discuss issues brought up by parent school council members; to gain information about school programs and curriculum through talks by visiting speakers and staff; and to coordinate fund raising. This group also is the governing body for the canteen.

School council

This group comprises of two elected parents, four elected staff members, the Principal, P&C President and an appointed community representative and is involved in the management of the school. Meetings are held at least four times a year or when the need arises. All parents are welcome to attend although council members only have voting rights.
